Don’t Wait To Worship
Exodus 15:1 — Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD, saying, “I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.”
When something goes wrong in our lives, our first instinct is normally to complain about it. We never seem to run out of reasons to tell God why things aren’t going the way we expected or wanted them to. But what about when things go right?
While we’re quick to bring our complaints to God, we’re often slower to bring our thanks to Him when everything goes as planned or when He does something unexpected in our favor.
When God miraculously saved Israel from their enemies, their immediate response was to lift their voices in praise and worship to the Lord. Their troubles were far from over; despite successfully fleeing from the Egyptians, they were still stranded in the desert with little food and water and no clear direction on what to do next.
Instead of choosing to dwell on all the troubles that may lie ahead, they turned all their focus onto praising God for what He’d already done.
Make a choice to focus on the ways God has triumphed gloriously in your life today instead of fretting about all the things that could go wrong next!
