Exodus 13 - God wants our best.

All throughout the Bible God set a precedent that He doesn’t just want our leftovers, He wants our very best. He called the Israelites to give the firstfruits of their labor, He called the disciples to give up everything to follow Him, and today He calls Christians to give their lives as a living sacrifice to the Lord.

What does that mean in a practical way? It means that wherever He has called you, and whatever He has tasked you to do, you should give your very best effort. He has given everything to us, and we should be willing to give everything to Him!

Proverbs 3:9-10 — Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.
