WINNERS NOT WHINERS:
One of Jesus’ biggest challenges was to change the mentality of his closest followers from Whining to Winning. Throughout the Gospels we see numerous examples where Jesus would confront or correct his disciples as they looked for excuses to why the mission was too difficult and destined to fail. The church has become too comfortable with whining about why the Church isn’t; growing, dreaming, changing, etc. Just as His Lead-Followers changed from Whiners to Winners we must believe that the Church is a place of celebrating victories in the Gospel!
ENCOURAGERS NOT COMPLAINERS:
Complaining is the most wide spread disease in all the church. It infects, spreads and kills far too many! The church is full of ideas, styles and different approaches eventually you will not like one of these. A healthy, growing church is a place that fosters and thrives in the encouragement of others. Whether you are the giver or receiver, it is the difference maker in moving forward to accomplish the Vision.
COURAGEOUS NOT COMPLACENT:
“Sometimes all you need is 2o seconds of Insane Courage.”
– Benjamin Mee (We bought a Zoo)
Visions die not for lack of purpose, but Courage. Our tendency is to live comfortable and complacent lives - Yet, in doing so we miss out on the life that God desires for us to experience. Jesus won people to His kingdom by courageously sharing the Gospel in word and work. We believe that Courageously following Jesus is unpredictable and uncomfortable, but so worth the risk!
EMPATHETIC NOT APATHETIC:
An apathetic church should be as paradoxical as Icy - Hot. We believe at the core of the Gospel is to genuinely care for people. Analyzing and strategizing for growth is useless if we do not have compassion. Jesus deeply cared and identified with all different kinds of people. What was His motivation? He desired for all to experience the overwhelming love of the Father. If we don’t care, we won’t share!
GRACE OVER GUILT:
We believe that the Gospel is laced with Grace not guilt! We strive to be obedient, committed and faithful with the understanding that the only perfect ONE took our guilt. Mistakes, failures and sin are all a part of what we experience in our relationship with God, but we believe He picks us up and gives us new opportunity. His Grace has no bounds and His love has no breaking point! Grace wins!
